The Dawn Doty Scholarship FundÌýat the University of Colorado Boulder honors the enduring legacy of an exceptional educator, mentor, and public relations leader whose greatest passion was empowering students to find their voices and lead with integrity.

Dawn Doty brought decades of professional experience to ̽»¨ÊÓƵ and the College of Communication, Media, Design and Information, with a career spanning nonprofit arts and global PR agencies; among the nationally recognized clients she worked with were Chipotle, Crocs and Southwest Airlines. Those experiences set the tone for how she would influence students from the moment she joined CMDI in 2016. Dawn’s classroom became a place where high expectations were set, candid guidance was shared and each student’s potential was championed. Her commitment to excellenceÌýearned her national recognition, including the PRSA Outstanding Educator of the Year Award.
This scholarship fund supports CMDI students pursuing public relations who embody the curiosity, creativity and ethical leadership that defined Dawn’s career. Tax deductible donor contributions help remove financial barriers, enabling students to fully engage in rigorous academic study, professional development and experiential learning opportunities that prepare them to succeed in a rapidly evolving communications industry landscape.
By contributing to the Dawn Doty Scholarship Fund, donors help sustain ̽»¨ÊÓƵ’s mission to educate, inspire and shape future leaders. Each gift extends Dawn’s influence beyond the classroom—creating opportunity; advancing the public relations profession; and ensuring the next generation of communicators leads with purpose, integrity and confidence.
