BOLD Scholarship Graduate Assistant Job Description

The purpose of the BOLD Scholarship Graduate Assistant is to support the BOLD Community mission to foster a sense of belonging for underserved and marginalized students in the College of Engineering & Applied Sciences (CEAS) through participation in a scholarship program. This is an administrative position that works toward tracking, creating and managing scholarship requirements for all BOLD Scholars (up to 450 students) through Excel documents, a Canvas page and advising meetings with students.Ìý
Job responsibilitiesÌý
Scholarship AdministrationÌý
- Coordinate with the BOLD Scholarship Team to review scholarship applications using the BAM Management system. Additionally, support the training of scholarship reviewers and assist with scholarship awarding.Ìý
- Help manage the BOLD canvas page, collecting quiz data to assess scholarship status for BOLD Scholars.Ìý
- Contributes to updated Canvas page by helping with posting weekly announcements of upcoming events that fulfill scholarship requirementsÌý
- At the end of the semester, helps to finish with all Canvas grading and updating of scholarship spreadsheets for end of semester notification of probation due to lack of requirement completionÌý
Event SupportÌý
- Supports coordination of BOLD student engagement programs, including creating and publishing of event flyers, both printed and digital (BOLD newsletter and Canvas posts)ÌýÌý
- In conjunction with Program Managers, reports and tracks scholarship recipients’ academic performance and participation requirements.ÌýÌý
- Positively represent and advocate for the BOLD Center and BOLD Scholars at meetings, conferences, and presentations.Ìý
- Meet regularly with the Program Manager of Leadership and ScholarshipÌý
Student Advising and Data GatheringÌý
- Assists with group and individual advising for students across all scholarship teamsÌý
- Helps with planning and presenting during the yearly BOLD Orientation to remind scholars of their yearly requirementsÌý
- Contribute to annual reports and manage the collection and synthesis of data for the BOLD Center, industry partners, and stakeholders.Ìý
Other InformationÌý
- Position is a Student Hourly I position for an average of 10 hours a week. Ìý
Hourly pay is set at $21.25 an hour with no other benefits.ÌýÌý
- Must be actively enrolled in classes full-time in a Master's Program at ̽»¨ÊÓÆµ in engineering, higher education, engineering education, or a related field.  Ìý
