The dumpsters will be available for use from May 11-14 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.Ìý

To avoid prohibited items going into the landfill, we ask that you refrain from using dumpsters after hours when staff are not present. You could insteadÌý from your property and place your unwanted items in your specified outdoor area for waste collection.Ìý

If you have items that are too large or heavy to move yourself, you canÌý from your property and place your unwanted items in your specified outdoor area for collection. (Please note that submitted requests do not guarantee pickup). You can also ask staff at theÌý if they have resources to help you move your unwanted items.Ìý

While not all items can be placed in the dumpsters, you may bring a wide variety of items to a move-out station, includingÌý andÌý.

• Vapes and other hazardous tobacco products can be disposed of at designated vape disposal locations in the UMC and Village Center.
• Electronics in usable condition can be donated at a thrift store. Electronics not in usable condition can be recycled atÌý. It is illegal in Colorado to throw away electronics in a dumpster.
• Follow our guide for information on disposing of hard-to-recycle items like cell phones, batteries, toner cartridges and more.
• Common household hazardous waste products, like fluorescent bulbs, home cleaning products, home maintenance products, motor oil, paint and yard care products can be taken to theÌý.
• Expired and unwanted medications can be disposed of at theÌýtake-back dropbox on the main floor lobby of the Parking Services and Police Department building.

Leaving items on a street corner can lead to a citation for yourself, your landlord or the tenants/landlords of the properties closest to the street corner. It can also lead to other tenants adding to the pile and creating large obstructions that can result in safety and sanitation concerns. Instead, bring your unwanted items to aÌý, orÌý from your property and place your unwanted items in your specified outdoor area for waste collection.Ìý

The dumpsters are property of Western Disposal and entering them as non-Western Disposal staff is strictly prohibited. Do not climb into the dumpsters to claim disposed-of items. ̽»¨ÊÓƵ, the City of Boulder and Western Disposal are not liable for any injuries sustained by illegally entering a dumpster.

Event staff will do their best to make sure reusable items are kept out of the dumpsters. Talk to event staff during program hours (May11-14, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.) to see what diverted items you could claim. Please note, we will not be able to offer assistance to help transport the items you may claim.Ìý
