Industry-sponsored engineering design projects

Industry-sponsored engineering design projects

At ̽»¨ÊÓƵ's College of Engineering and Applied Science, senior engineering students cap off their academic experience through the Senior Design course, an immersive curriculum designed to mirror the experience of working on a real-world engineering project in industry. The course gives students the opportunity to apply the technical knowledge and problem-solving skills they have developed throughout their studies to design challenges with tangible impact.

In the industry-sponsored section, student teams collaborate directly with industry partner sponsors and faculty advisors. Sponsors represent a wide range of organizations, including startups, entrepreneurs, established corporations, and global companies, giving students exposure to diverse industries and engineering applications.

Throughout the course, teams manage projects from concept to completion while working within real-world constraints such as budgets, timelines, and client expectations. Each team receives funding for project materials, with some sponsors providing additional financial support to help bring ideas to life.
