Colorado Shakespeare Festival (CSF) returns June 7th to the beloved Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre. Opened in 1939, the Rippon has been lovingly refreshed and is ready to welcome you back to gather, to laugh, and to share theatre outdoors under the stars once again.

For nearly 70 years, generations of theatregoers like you have discovered the magic of summer nights in Boulder, with joy, romance, and drama unfolding in the shadow of the Flatirons. Summer 2026, we return to those roots and begin a new chapter with classic Shakespeare and daring new works. This season, we come full circle.

Giving blood this spring is a simple yet powerful way to make a difference. ̽��Ƶ Staff Council, in partnership with Vitalant, is excited to announce the April Blood Drive! Every donation can save up to three lives, directly impacting individuals facing medical emergencies, surgeries, or chronic illnesses. By rolling up your sleeve this April, you become a beacon of hope for those in need.

💡 Why Donate?
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Hospitals and medical facilities depend on voluntary donors to maintain a steady blood supply for life-saving treatments. Your donation ensures that those in critical need receive the care they deserve.

🔹 Our Goal:
We are striving to collect 61 units per day, and with your help, we can surpass this goal and make a lasting impact in our community. Please share and encourage others to donate blood and support those in our local community.

How to Prepare:

Review Basic Eligibility Requirements
Eat a nutritious meal and stay hydrated before your donation
Bring a valid photo ID
Get a good night's sleep the night before

The Boulder Campus Staff Council Awards & Staff Recognition Committee (ASR) is excited to announce that effective July 2025, Professional Research Assistants, Senior Professional Research Assistants, Research Associates, and Senior Research Associates are included in the Years of Service Recognition program!

The Years of Service program recognizes ̽��Ƶ staff and research faculty who achieve a career milestone in the following increments: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 or 50 years. Employees who reach a career milestone will receive a certificate and letter sent to their CU email address celebrating their service and dedication. Those with 15+ years of service will also receive an Amazon Gift Card.

On behalf of Boulder Staff Council, the Research Faculty Special Committee, and the Awards & Staff Recognition Committee, we thank you for ALL your valuable contributions and for being an integral part of the university.

Every day, CU employees implement innovative ideas that save time, money, and effort across our shared systems. The CU Innovation & Efficiency (CU I&E) Awards Program recognizes and celebrates these forward-thinking solutions, providing a platform to share success stories that inspire and benefit the entire CU community.

The 2026 CU I&E Awards Program is now accepting submissions through March 31, 2026. This is your opportunity to showcase your ingenuity and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement at CU.

Last year’s submissions highlighted a diverse range of innovations, from automated academic workflows and advanced research operations to campuswide process improvements that boosted efficiency, accuracy, and communication across units.

The top prize in 2025 was awarded to Sustainability in Simulation Operations, by Emily Bishop from the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Which campus will take home this year’s top honor?

Cash prizes of up to $1,500 will be awarded to individuals or teams whose innovations stand out, as determined by our judging panel.
