On April 1, NASA's Artemis II blasted off on the first mission to the moon in over 50 years. Planetary scientists at LASP and the College of Arts and Sciences are supporting the Artemis program by studying the moon's extreme thermal environments, like the shadowy, cold craters in the moon's South Pole.
