Day One

Check-In

2 - 3 p.m. |Ìý
Check in for orientation in the residential neighborhood where you’ll be staying overnight. You’ll pick up name tags for you and your registered guests, get your room assignment and drop off your luggage in your room.

After you’ve checked in, you can make your own way to the University Memorial Center, or meet up outside the check-in location at 3:30 p.m. so that our Journey Leaders can lead the group over together. Don’t forget to bring anything with you that you’ll need for the next few hours! (You won’t need your laptop.)

Welcome

3:45 p.m. |Ìý (UMC) Glenn Miller Ballrooms
We'll welcome you to campus and share an overview of what to expect from your orientation experience.

Small Group

4:15 p.m. | Locations vary
It's time to meet your Journey Leader—a current CU student who is here to help you throughout both orientation and Fall Welcome! During your first small group, you'll learn more about what you'll be doing throughout the next two days, and your Journey Leader will help you get to know the other new Buffs in your group.Ìý

Buffs Live & Dinner

5 p.m. | Kittredge Central Multipurpose Rooms &Ìý Dining
Buffs Live is an interactive gameshow experience that invites you to test what you know, learn something new and connect with the stories and traditions that shape the Buffs community.

You'll also enjoy dinner with your small group in one of our campus dining halls.

Small Group

6:35 p.m. | Locations vary
Meet your Journey Leader outside the Center for Community to chat about getting involved, building community and finding your place on CU's campus.

New Buffs Social

7:30 - 9:30 p.m. |Ìý
Choose from a variety of activities to enjoy and connect with your fellow new Buffs as you wrap up your first day of orientation.Ìý

Journey Leaders will lead you over to the Rec for the start of the New Buffs Social. If you need help finding your way between the Rec and your residence hall later in the evening, Journey Leaders will be available outside Baker Hall (north side) at 8:15 and 8:45 p.m. to escort you to the Rec, as well as outside the main doors of the Rec at 8:00, 8:30, 9 and 9:30 p.m. to help you get back to your residence hall.

While there is no designated time for you to return to your room after the Social ends, please be considerate of your roommates and remember that we have an early start in the morning.

Day Two

Breakfast & Residence Hall Check-Out

7 - 8:15 a.m. | Center for Community Dining
Grab breakfast in the Center for Community before our first session of the day.Ìý

You'll also need to check out of your room before our Welcome Back session, so we recommend doing so prior to going to breakfast. To check out, drop your linens in a collection bin in the hallway and stop by the front desk to officially check out. If you have a vehicle, we recommend putting your luggage in your car; otherwise, you can leave your luggage in our holding room.Ìý

Be sure to keep your access card so that you can use it to eat lunch, and bring your laptop or tablet with you today. You will need it for class registration and will not have time to return to your luggage to get it before then.
