Well-Being and Resilience Community of Practice (WBRCoP)

WBRCoP

Higher education asks people to give constantly: to teach, advise, support, respond, adapt, and care. But what happens when the people holding students up are running on empty? The Well-Being and Resilience Community of Practice (WBRCoP) is a space for educators, staff, and academic advisors to push back against burnout, build sustainable practices, and rethink what it means to thrive while supporting learners.

This is not just a conversation about stress. It is a collaborative effort to name the pressures facing those who teach and support students, share practical strategies for well-being and resilience, and build a stronger culture of care across ̽»¨ÊÓƵ. Through reflection, dialogue, and evidence-based practice, WBRCoP helps participants cultivate their own well-being while exploring how wellness can be embedded into teaching, advising, and student support.

What Is the WBRCoP?

The Well-Being and Resilience Community of Practice centers on wellness, well-being, and resilience for the people who teach, guide, and support students. ̽»¨ÊÓƵ is a partner of the Okanagan Charter and is committed to promoting well-being for all who live, work, and learn here. WBRCoP draws on evidence-based research in neuroscience, psychology, education, and contemplative practice to support both individual and collective well-being.

What Is the WBRCoP's Mission?
