Our Mission
Nearly every aspect of modern life depends on energy.
The buildings in which we live, the devices we use to communicate, and the machines we use to travel, all depend on energy. It powers opportunity, provides the means to not just live better lives, but also saves lives.ÌýResearch, innovation, and collaboration at RASEI is focused on one goal: Creating clean, reliable, resilient, and affordable energy systems that benefit the population and the planet.
The mission of RASEI is to enable future generations ofÌýresearchers,Ìýeducators, andÌýpolicy makers to create solutions that meet increasingly demandingÌýglobal, energy, and sustainabilityÌýchallenges. The community is expediting solutions that foster next generation solutions energy by advancing energy science, engineering, and analysis through research, education, and industrial and academic partnerships.
RASEI is facilitating change by cultivating a community centered around team science and collaborative research. By breaking down traditional silos and connecting researchers from a wide range of different disciplines we bring together a broad range of perspectives and ideas, an approach that is essential to address large, complex, and impactful challenges.
While the members of RASEI are spread across the NREL and ̽»¨ÊÓƵ campuses, we have headquarters located on the ̽»¨ÊÓƵ East Campus in the SEEC Building in Boulder, Colorado. The Front Range fosters a network of academic, National lab and industrial institutions focused on working together to address energy research and development. The RASEI community is a collaborative partner in this innovation ecosystem, working together to develop holistic and robust solutions.
