HealthBuffs peer educators support ̽»¨ÊÓÆµ students through peer-led workshops, outreach and conversations on topics such as stress, sleep, sexual health, relationships, substance use and suicide prevention. Peer educators develop leadership, facilitation and public speaking skills while working with student groups across campus.Ìý
ÌýÌýPeer Wellness CoachesÌý
Peer wellness coaches begin as peer educators and may take on coaching responsibilities after they advance in their role. Coaches meet one-on-one with students to support personal health and wellness goals, providing a welcoming space to listen, help Buffs identify priorities and connect them with campus resources. This role builds skills in communication, goal setting and peer support.Ìý
ÌýÌýHealth Promotion Office Assistants
Health Promotion office assistants support daily operations, including resource coordination, event preparation and front-desk support. They work closely with professional staff and student employees to help deliver health and well-being programs, manage supplies and ensure smooth operations for students and campus partners.Ìý
ÌýÌýBuffs Discuss Peer FacilitatorsÌý
Buffs Discuss peer facilitators engage students in one-on-one and small-group conversations about alcohol and other drug use. Facilitators create nonjudgmental spaces for reflection, strengthen listening and communication skills and support peers in exploring ways to reduce risk or make changes that feel right.Ìý
ÌýÌýCollegiate Recovery Community (CRC) Student StaffÌý
CRC student staff support students in recovery by helping foster an inclusive, substance-free community on campus. Through mentorship, outreach and event support, student staff promote recovery visibility, peer connection, leadership development and a strong sense of belonging within the ̽»¨ÊÓÆµ community.Ìý
ÌýÌýInternships
Health Promotion internships provide undergraduate and graduate students with hands-on experience in health education, facilitation and program support. Interns can earn academic credit while contributing to initiatives such as Buffs Discuss or Peer Wellness Coaching through approved department or university partnerships.Ìý
