Data & Impact

The Faculty Data & Impact (FDI) team in the Office of Faculty Affairs supports ̽»¨ÊÓƵ faculty and academic units by maintaining faculty personnel and scholarly impact data, enabling faculty lifecycle processes through data stewardship, systems, and cross-campus coordination, and providing data services that inform decisions across campus.Ìý

What We Do

At its core, FDI enables OFA’s work throughout the faculty lifecycle and oversees the data processes that underpin each milestone of a faculty member’s career. For example, once an appointment offer letter is finalized, key information is entered into the Faculty Information System (FIS), ̽»¨ÊÓƵ’s central system of record for faculty data. These FIS records support faculty-related processes, institutional reporting, and administrative coordination across campus.

These data also support the public visibility and recognition of ̽»¨ÊÓƵ faculty through platforms such as , as well as campus efforts to showcase faculty awards and accomplishments.Ìý

FDI supports more than 2,000 faculty, including tenure-track, teaching, clinical, and faculty-in-residence, and partners with campus units to ensure data accuracy and alignment with university policy.

Note: Research faculty are supported by the Research & Innovation Office (RIO), and temporary faculty (e.g., lecturers) by their respective deans’ offices.
